The Butterflies Behind The Scenes

Thanks to those who took my please boss me around survey last Friday. I appreciate your time and feedback. There are 2 things I consider when running a blog

  1. Can I reply to comments?
  2. Do I have to pay for it?
The sad truth is that you can’t have everything you want in life so here I am on Blogger with a lousy commenting system. But look Kristin’s Glas has a brand new Facebook page!
And…
Ta Da! Kristin’s Glas got a makeover. What do you think?
Last week I dragged my husband out of his office to enjoy some sunshine, also to take my picture for a new header. Don’t feel bad for him he totally had fun. Plus it’s good to stop and smell the cherry blossoms once in a while.
Here are a few out-takes-
Modelling isn’t my best thing. I’m much better at attracting butterflies.

P.S. My voice is hoarse, I don’t sound like a smoker usually.

Comments

  1. >I am deeply envious or your beautiful tree and that sexy voice ;)

  2. Alison Pentland @feefifofunfaery says:

    >I've also seen bumper crops floating in and around Streetsville, but not in our yard. We had a record number of blossoms on our plum tree, but no butterflies. Maybe it's the kind of blossoms or maybe all the high winds this spring have just blown the butterflies off normal course. Anyway thanks for sharing. It was fun to watch.

  3. >I am so jealous of that tree And the beautiful blossoms! We are a few weeks behind you but then we don't have a cherry tree either.

  4. Kristin Glas says:

    >Don't be, it was attached to a long lingering barking cough. Not so sexy.

  5. Kristin Glas says:

    >We're a fair bit South of Streetsville and they were all over town here but our tree was the motherload of butterflies. I was sorry my oldest missed it b/c she was in school.

Hope you get plums. Maybe we could trade cherries for plums?

  6. Kristin Glas says:

    >One of the main reason I am resisting moving to Ottawa, lack of fruit trees ;)

  7. >Consider me greatly impressed that you actually plan out what you want your blog to look like, and what you want your user experience to be.

I need to come back & check out your video, though, stupid work filters.

  8. Kristin Glas says:

    >That sounds a lot fancier than what I was thinking, but thanks.

  9. >Ok, Ok, I'll comment anyway :) How could I not with your sexy voice. I love the picture you chose for the header. It is so you. I'm totally jealous of the butterflies. We have butterfly bushes all over our yard and you would think the girls spotted a unicorn they get so excited if they actually see 1! They would go nuts at your house.

  10. craveable says:

    >beautiful

  11. Kristin Glas says:

    >The butterflies were only for that one day then the wind came up and they were off. I was nervous about that picture, afraid it wasn't "posed" enough, so thank you.

  12. Kristin Glas says:

    >I'll let you know when the cherries are ripe.

  13. jessica Anne says:

    >So jealous of the butterflies! We're trying to plant things that attract them. So far, we have one butterfly who has taken up residence in our backyard. Poor thing gets chased all over the place.

  14. Kristin Glas says:

    >They didn't say, it was just one day. If you are planting pretty things for them, they will come. Also plant some host plants, the one butterflies lay their eggs on b/c then you will get pretty caterpillars.
If you tell me the kind of butterflies you have I can look up the host plants in my book.
