Right. So I committed to runstreak. Only I live in Canada and it is winter here. Sadly the part of Canada I live in doesn’t bring a lot of snow. But we have rain, lots and lots of rain.
So I ran in the rain. And I liked it because it’s all about the bright side with me.
Freezing rain, no. It’s called a cold mist facial and it’s good for your pores. And it’s free!
Puddles to infiltrate your mesh toed shoes. That’s just keep you on your toes, football training style. Jump Kristin jump.
Cough and chest congestion…well, that part just sucks.
Once I got myself dried off and cleaned up I settled in for something I am going to call writestreak. My 1 hour of daily writing. A few of you were keen to join me on my daily writing challenge and I thought we needed some rules. Guidelines to keep us in line.
- One day off a week is allowed.
- Daily writing goal is over and above currently writing commitments. Or not. I am not counting blog posts I publish here but you can I am not the boss of you.
- I’ll be using #writestreak on Twitter to check in.
Let’s get streaking! Uhm… I mean writing. And hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow.

>The last time I promised to join a streak, I ended up naked in the middle of a black-tie affair. It was quite embarrassing for all of the others who were supposed to be streaking with me, truly.
I'm doing my own form of a running streak, though I'm seldom running — mostly, it's cycling & hanging out on the elliptical. It's just been either too wet or too icy to support morning runs before the sun is up (and that's my only time). But, I'm getting a good sweat on each & every day, and I'm feeling good.
I promise to come along with the #writestreak, though I can't promise fiction every day. Most of the fiction I write is for my porn blog, and that just, well, I can't work on that every day. My mass-market fiction can be fun, but I need to be in just the right frame of mind to work on them.
But, I'll be getting blog posts out until the streak is over.
>Your…uhh…what blog? Who are you?
Write whatever you want. Just get it done!
Running not going well today, still fighting some sick.
>All right, I'll officially join. That means I have to do it, right? Really, I need to, I'll be #writestreak ing at night. Is streaking at night really streaking if no one can see you?
>It's still streaking, even if no one sees you. Though I suppose it's less fun.
I'm off to a very slow start. But I'm doing it.
Go team!
>Wait, have you not heard of "The Dark Side?"
If I'm a "serious writer," it's erotic fiction that I'm writing. Have you seriously not seen that blog (I have no issues sharing it, I just don't want to force a link to a p@*n site from your blog)?
>I'm aiming to get back to posting on my blog 4-5 days a week. That will be my streak!
>You are so awesome…and for the record, it rains a lot here too!
I am starting my writestreak Monday.
